Honoring Our Flagship Partner: St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church

We are deeply grateful to recognize our Flagship Partner, St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, for their faithful and transformative commitment to St. Luc School in Thomassique, Haiti.

In January 2021, St. Stephen’s joined with St. Augustine Episcopal Church in California to provide 50% of St. Luc School’s annual budget, ensuring students could continue learning, growing, and thriving despite unprecedented challenges. This partnership was born from the friendship between The Reverend John Burruss and The Reverend Guilene Fiefie, classmates at Virginia Theological 

Seminary whose shared vision sparked a connection that now spans communities and countries.

St. Stephen’s support arrived at a pivotal moment, empowering the school to expand and meet the increasing needs of its community. Their generosity has strengthened the foundation of education and opportunity for countless students.
