St. Luc Elementary

Building a safe place to learn and grow.

Our Story

2026
A Year of Growth

St. Luc welcomed an influx of students escaping the current gang violence overtaking Haiti. The 2025-2026 school year began with 570 students enrolled.

With three levels of enclosed classrooms, our steel front gate keeps our students safe and provides a sense of peace for the parents.

2025
Third Floor is Complete

St. Luc has nearly 300 students enrolled for the 2024-2025 school year.

St. Luc provides students with a safe, stable learning environment, where they are taught by qualified teachers and provided a daily nutritious lunch. It provides them with a place where they can be with their peers and feel loved and supported -- just like our own kids do.

2022-2023
Second Floor is Complete

The first floor was completed in 2022, and the second floor was completed in 2023.

The new building provides a life-changing educational experience for St. Luc’s students. Each teacher and grade level now has their own dedicated classroom.

2020
Construction Begins

The first floor was completed in 2022, and the second floor was completed in 2023.

The new building provides a life-changing educational experience for St. Luc’s students. Each teacher and grade level now has their own dedicated classroom.

2018
HEADCorp was Founded

When HEADCorp first began supporting St. Luc in 2018, the school was a one-room, partially-enclosed building.

The students gathered in different corners of the room, according to their grade levels.  The room was very loud and made it difficult for students to hear and concentrate.

2017
Second Trip to Haiti

A mission trip journeyed from Northern California to the island of Haiti and met St. Luc Elementary School to install solar lighting. This ignited a passion to build a partnership with this community.

2016
Meeting St. Luc School

A mission trip consisting of members from various Episcopal churches in America traveled to Port-au-Prince (capital of Haiti) to attend a conference about Non-Profit Organizations that support Haiti. From there, they traveled to church congregations partnered with the Episcopal Church and this is where the relationship with St. Luc truly began to flourish.

2015
Drilling a Water Well

Three of our founding board members, Jim, Rick and Jack, ventured to rural Haiti to embark on an adventure.

Their Goal? To drill a water well and bring clean, running water to a small community in Haiti. This is where the love and community of Haiti was established.

Our current Project

Currently, HEADCorp is fundraising to support the operating budget for the current 2024-2025 school year, as detailed below. Additionally, we are fundraising to build a roof on six additional classrooms ($5,000).

We are working to provide as much financial support to St. Luc as possible, as their primary supporter.

Education opportunities are so scarce in Haiti, but so critically important.  We want to keep the students of St. Luc coming back year after year.  Every year of education that Haitian students receive exponentially increases their quality of life.

Please help us provide these sweet kiddos with an opportunity to go to school every day and have a hot meal.   You have no idea what a difference you can make in their lives.
