Thomassique is a rural town in Haiti’s Central Plateau, located between the city of Hinche and the Dominican Republic border. The region is mountainous and geographically isolated, with limited infrastructure and access to basic services. Many families rely on subsistence farming, and communities often face significant challenges related to poverty, including limited access to consistent education, healthcare, and economic opportunity.

Haiti Education & Development Corporation currently supports St. Luc School in Thomassique, Haiti. Our work focuses on providing essential resources that sustain daily school operations, including teacher support, student meals, and classroom supplies. These investments help ensure that children have consistent access to a stable learning environment and the opportunity to continue their education.

HEADCorp works in close partnership with local leadership at St. Luc School in Thomassique. Day-to-day operations are managed by experienced local staff who oversee school administration and program implementation. This locally led approach ensures that decisions are grounded in community needs and that the school operates in a consistent, sustainable, and culturally appropriate way.

The majority of funds directly support educational programs at St. Luc School, including teacher support, student meals, and classroom resources. Approximately 97% of funds go directly to program support, with a small percentage used for essential administrative expenses such as printing and postage for communications, as well as tools like our email platform to stay in touch with supporters.

HEADCorp is committed to responsible stewardship and transparency. We maintain regular communication with our partners in Haiti, closely monitor how funds are used, and provide periodic updates to our supporters. We are also recognized with the Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency.

Administrative expenses represent less than 4% of our annual budget. These costs are limited to essential expenses such as shipping, transfer fees, and communications. HEADCorp is entirely volunteer-run, and no staff receive compensation.

HEADCorp is supported by a combination of individual donors, private foundations, churches, and community organizations.
